Biodiversity, Growth, Change
Did you know that Costa Rica only takes up 0.03% of the Earth’s surface, and boasts almost 6% of the world’s biodiversity? That means that life is EVERYWHERE! The jungle literally breathes you here.
The rolling wheels of change were never more evident than deep beneath the towering canopy and swirling vines. During the summer months the sun beats down on the leaves, giving the forest a sepia filtered haze. Warm temperatures start at daybreak and reptiles can be found in the gaps, sunning themselves over dry leaves. Dust fills the air, coating every speck of space as mammals gather at available water sources. Residents beg the coming night to cool temperatures enough for a restful sleep.
Winter brings an onslaught of rain and new life, raising rivers and cleansing the land. The deep shades of green evident at every vista brings one fully into the present moment without a thought or a care of what has come or might be coming. The foreshadowing of gentle songbirds announcing imminent thunderstorms compliment a red foggy sky. Prime time is early morning, for by the afternoon you’ll want a dry pair of pants and a hot cup of coffee.
